Why, Not How

Why, Not How

This is my journey,
But God set the stage—
The scene, the score,
The actors, the age

I know how it ends,
And trials I’ll face,
Yet still it’s my story,
My plot, and my race

The question I ask myself most is how
How do I provide, protect, gather more now?

But shouldn’t why be the place I explore,
The question that matters far deeper than more?

The Lord taught a masterclass lived, not recited—
Of otherness, laughter, of love uninvited

He guided us: ask, do not judge, choose the right,
Do unto others, and walk without fright

And though life’s great symphony won’t fully complete,
No final resolve, no last perfect beat

My prayer for you—and my prayer for me—
Is to live in the why, attentively
